We believe young people can change the world; this is exactly why we want to support them to bring concepts of diversity, equity and inclusion into their career. Even more, we aspire to nurture a next generation of talent into the nonprofit field in Hong Kong.

INTERN WITH A PURPOSE

We offer 4 tracks – Programs, Partnerships, Communications & Operations – outlined below. Applications are now open for Fall (Nov to Feb). To qualify, you must be able to commit at least 16-20 hours per week from Monday to Friday, excluding occasional events, mainly at our Sheung Wan office. The minimum is 3 months, while exact dates & hours can be discussed during interviews.

Our interns work on projects that they can have real ownership over, career development and hands-on experience working in a close-knit, collaborative team.

Internship Track

  • Assist with core programs development, including event management and training
  • Communicate with stakeholders to support program activities and identify opportunities for engagement

  • Manage and execute core strategic functions, from research and analysis to public event and fundraising campaigns
  • Facilitate stakeholder relationships and communications, while also managing data and operational tasks

  • Create visually compelling and informative content for digital platforms, newsletters, and promotional materials to raise brand visibility and spread key messages
  • Contribute to communications strategy by researching digital trends, documenting program highlights, and assisting with media preparation

  • Provide key operational and administrative support to senior management, managing tasks from financial tracking and record-keeping to preparing for internal meetings
  • Research and propose innovative strategies to enhance team wellbeing and improve productivity through new governance systems, HR best practices, and digitization efforts

Criteria

We’re looking for candidates that meet the following criteria:

  • Permission to volunteer in Hong Kong
  • Current university student, or completed secondary school education
  • Able to commit to 16-20 hours a week for minimum of 3 months, mostly based in office 
  • Strong computer literacy (particularly Google platforms)
  • Able to bring own laptop
  • Some previous NGO or community service experience (volunteering or internship)
  • (Desirable depending on Track) Fluency in Chinese, verbal and written
  • Able to manage deadlines, prioritize and multitask
  • Professionalism, team spirit and positive attitude
  • Commitment to diversity and respect for others
  • Able to provide 2 reference checks from university or work experience

Resolve interns receive a daily meal stipend of HK$ 120 and reimbursement for travel. You will benefit from mentoring by team members, staff training and team building.
