Pinky is the Co-Founder of Music and Movement Workshop, which aims to empower older adults to enhance their wellbeing to maintain their vitality and zest for life as they age. She joins the Fellowship to extend her network and knowledge so as to ensure sustainable growth of her organization.
Pinky was born and raised in Hong Kong. After her school years, she was surrounded by handcrafted masters at work. She liked hanging out with them to listen to their stories and contributions in the past. She found that the more direct connection she made with older adults, the more loneliness she feels among them.
This led Pinky to co-found a social enterprise, “Music and Movement Workshop”(活到老 郁個腦), which runs in elderly centers. The workshop focuses on stimulating participants’ coordination between body balance, emotion and cognition decline, but most importantly – Enjoying and Living at the Present. She is excited to have the opportunity to join the Fellowship to refine goals for her leadership journey with exploring collaborative networks to run the workshop sustainably and gain strategic training to advance the organization’s growth.
Pinky wishes to share the vision of active and happy aging with society through music and movement. We are all aging, and we shouldn’t be hopeless and wait till our last day of life. There should be ways for older people to feel that they are still a valued part of society, and everyone to have the compassion and believe in any support would able to make changes to the aging society, as like little steps taken by “Music and Movement Workshop 活到老 郁個腦 “.
In her free time, Pinky likes to explore the city by running. She is also a pottery maker, enjoying the unexpected throughout the clay journey.
