About

Marshall Hui

Educational Psychologist Marshall is committed to providing equal access to comprehensive sexuality education to all youths, teachers and parents in Hong Kong, regardless of their backgrounds. He is a passionate advocate for multiculturalism, equity, and gender inclusivity.

Marshall, a local PhD student and sexuality educator in Hong Kong, envisions a future where all generations of students can receive quality sexuality education. He is dedicated to addressing the inadequate comprehensive sexuality education in the city, particularly for socially disadvantaged youths and students with special needs. With over 16 years of experience as a student in Hong Kong and as a former educator, Marshall advocates for equal access to sexuality education in the city.

As an advocate for youth development, Marshall volunteers at multiple non-governmental organizations (e.g. BGCA Project Touch), providing support to youths with diverse gender identities. He is also involved in research projects focused on reducing children’s prejudice against peers with diverse gender expressions.

Believing in social inclusivity and diversity, Marshall is committed to helping students unlock their potential through quality education. Inspired by Nelson Mandela’s quote, “Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world,” he sees education as a powerful tool for societal change and aims to empower students to make informed decisions and contribute to different sectors of society.

Marshall believes in treating everyone with dignity and ensuring equal access to social support and opportunities. He actively participates in social and volunteering projects that promote acceptance and inclusivity for individuals from multicultural backgrounds.

Joining the Fellowship, Marshall hopes to develop collaborative networks with education professionals, gaining the expertise necessary for large-scale educational projects and non-governmental institutions. He also seeks to deepen his understanding of education e(quality). In his free time, Marshall enjoys learning new languages and cultures, volunteering, pottery, and singing.
