As a researcher who aspires to contribute to social change with an evidence-based approach, Jason wants to bring voice to the vulnerable and contribute towards making Hong Kong as a city where people can age with dignity—a fundamental human right he holds dear.
Jason sees Hong Kong as a city that ignites his passion for studying social issues. Embracing its challenges, Jason has committed himself to building a better Hong Kong. He is currently working as a researcher in an international NGO, where he supports the agency’s formulation of service policy with up-to-date evidence and analysis.
Jason’s personal experience in the passing away of his family members made him realize how society is not fully prepared to support older adults in their golden years after retirement. Driven by this realization, Jason is eager to explore the issue of dignified aging in more depth through the Resolve Fellowship. To promote a more friendly environment for aging, through this fellowship, Jason hopes to strengthen his communication and storytelling skills to motivate others to join this important cause as well as to connect with a network of talents who share his vision.
Outside of work, Jason continues his quest to create a more equitable society with evidence through publishing in an academic journal on the topic of educational inequality in a higher education setting. In his free time, Jason likes working out, listening to music, and playing video games with friends.
