Gwen is a community volunteer who is passionate about creating an inclusive environment where everyone is valued and appreciated. She joins the Fellowship to connect with like-minded people to advance dignified aging for older adults.
Having been raised by Chinese and Thai parents and witnessing social exclusion and marginalization against minorities, Gwen has a strong incentive to advance diversity, equity and inclusion and improve the lives of those being mistreated. She became committed to the cause after engaging with minority groups through programs organized by Hong Kong Unison and seeing her Indian students struggling. She wants to support an equitable and inclusive Hong Kong, where people are given equal opportunities regardless of their backgrounds.
Gwen believes in the importance of showing respect to older people, especially in recognition of their contribution to society. After discovering a lack of resources for older adults and their caregivers on a training course, she embarked on her social impact journey to eliminate inequalities, discrimination and social isolation against elderly. She hopes to meet like-minded friends and bring change to society through joining Resolve’s Fellowship.
In her free time, Gwen enjoys reading, cooking, playing board games and practicing meditation.
