As the official host of F*ckup Nights in Hong Kong, Charlie aspires to promote career education and close the gap between communities with different social-economic backgrounds. She joins the Fellowship to seek more guidance to refine her ideas and collaborate with like-minded peers.
Seeing Hong Kong as a place full of energy with beautiful scenery, amazing people and invaluable opportunities, Charlie considers Hong Kongers as a symbol of resilience amid challenges. Growing up in a local grassroots community, she aims to help the younger generation explore career prospects regardless of their backgrounds.
Having studied in local schools in Hong Kong, Charlie wishes to leverage her network and ability to help the younger generation to see the bright side of Hong Kong and learn about their future career prospects despite their economic backgrounds. Previously as a Senior Account Manager at the American Chamber of Commerce in Hong Kong, Charlie champions diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI), addresses unconscious bias and curates programs for social impact. She also managed AmCham’s Women of Influence Award, promoting gender equality and women’s rights.
Since April 2022, Charlie started a chapter of F*ckup Nights in HK, encouraging individuals to embrace failure as the step on the road to success.With F*ckup Nights, she aims to build an open-minded community with unique opportunities to learn. She is experienced in community-building and connecting social enterprises for meaningful discussions.
Charlie joins the Fellowship to extend the impact of her work and develop her strengths so that she can contribute to bringing more equal educational opportunities. She hopes to meet and collaborate with passionate education advocates for future projects. Besides her interest and commitment to social impact, Charlie has been a dragon boat paddler for 5 years. She also enjoys crafting handmade artwork, such as hand-paint glasses, in her spare time.
