About

LYRIS MIU

Lyris is excited to return to the Resolve Foundation after her Fellowship in 2020, which focused on Disability Empowerment. A graduate of the University of Hong Kong in Comparative Literature and Gender Studies, she was determined to help create a more inclusive society.

During the Fellowship, Lyris reflected on the crucial role education plays in shaping individuals’ understanding of themselves and their relationships with others in society. With support from the Resolve community, she pursued a master’s in Educational Leadership at the Harvard Graduate School of Education (HGSE).

In her two years in Boston, Lyris contributed to the One Village One Preschool Research project from HGSE, designing a 12-session course to train pre-service early childhood educators in child-centered pedagogy. She also created an educational live-action role-playing experience for Sweden’s Kalmar County Museum. Her most cherished role was as a Teaching Artist in Boston Public Schools, where she developed inclusive, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed curricula. She now brings all her moments with her students to her work as a Learning Designer at Resolve.
